Register for Classes

How do I register for classes?

If you are a new student, you will be registering for classes at New Student Orientation. Registration at Georgia Perimeter College is facilitated by the office of Enrollment and Registration Services (ERS) at Georgia Perimeter College.

At GPC, most students utilize the online Student Information System (Also known as "SIS") to register for classes. SIS is easily found at .

How do I get into and use the registration system (SIS)?

SIS is very simple to use. Once you've accessed the webpage, you will need to sign in using your GPC ID number (also known as your "900" number) and your six-digit Personal Identification Number or "PIN". Once you are in, you can register for classes, check your grades, check your financial aid status, pay your tuition and fees, and a number of other things. Instructions for registration can be found at the ERS online registration website

What is my PIN?

If you are a new student, your default PIN is your birthdate in MMDDYY format. For example, if your birthdate is March 15 1989, your PIN is initially set as 031589. The first time you access SIS, it will ask you to change your PIN (please pick something that you will be able to remember easily!). It will also ask you to choose a secret question and answer. With that secret question and answer, you will be able to change your PIN in case you forget it.

What if I can't remember my PIN?

SIS has an option to reset your PIN. For that you will need to know the answer to your secret question. In case you can't remember your secret answer, you will need to bring a valid photo ID to an ERS office on your nearest campus for assistance.

What if I don't know which classes to take?

If you have difficulty deciding which classes you need, you should visit the Advising, Counseling and Retention Services (ACRS) office on the campus of your choice during normal business hours. Advisors there can help you with selecting courses appropriate to your needs. If you are taking all classes online, you can start an online advisement session by using the online advisement request form.
